The vintage postcard on the cover of the August issue has a reference to your magazine (“Home of Texoma Living! Monthly”) so did you modify an actual postcard from the fifties? What is the origin of the artwork?

Editor: Lee, this is pure trickery on our part. The August cover was our homage to those wonderful picture postcards of the 40s, 50s and early 60s. We asked our art staff to recreate a period look that would call attention to the articles about the building of the Denison Dam. Find out how they did it in the article on the next page.
Where did you get the photos of Denison Dam for your story on the Lake Texoma reservoir? (Taming the Red, August 2010) You always seem to have wonderful historic photographs.
