These Letters to the Editor appeared in the Winter 2007 issue of Texoma Living!.
My aunt in Sherman sent me a copy of your Summer issue (Play Ball!). My dad played for the minor league 1948 Sherman-Denison Twins baseball team and there he was in a photo I had never seen. Dad passed in 1983 and it meant a lot to see him in his uniform. He loved to played baseball.

Lake Losses
This summer we were unable to spend much time at our weekend home on Lake Texoma due to the flooding. We did however pick up a copy of your magazine during a stay at Tanglewood Resort. I hope that you will revisit the lake area in your magazine before next summer. There will be many improvement and all of the most popular places—restaurants, marinas, stores—will be ready for business. We have already been back to the house and things are for the most part, back to normal.
Robert Vanderman, Mansfield, Texas
Editor’s Note: We have already planned to provide extensive coverage in our next Summer issue that comes out on June 3, 2008.
Picture Perfect
Your photos are some of the best I have seen anywhere, in any publication! Anne Marie Shumate’s magnificent covers capture the subject’s inner beauty. The Lee Hudgins cover photo (Winter ‘06) and the Sherry Christie pictures (Spring ‘07) could not have looked any better in any major national publication. Your photos are worth the cost of the subscription even if there wasn’t a single word of text.
