Six months ago a Starbucks barista told me sales were down. “Even the 2 and 3 cup-a-day drinkers are coming in just once a day now,” he said. More recently, last week in fact, that same barista said things were picking up. Self Check-Out
At first sight I was drawn to her shiny stainless steel outfit and fascinated by the colorful screen—blinking at me like some come hither siren, Then her voice. “Welcome to Albertson’s where check out is fast and easy.
TLM 2.0
Somewhere between Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 my skill level declined dramatically. Just think old dogs and new tricks.
Urban Sherman Alive and Well
But the Hot Summer Nights events, like others in Texoma, remind us that we are part of a society. I for one am proud to be part of a community that celebrates itself with awesome programs like this. Justice of the Peach?
It was meant to be a simple gesture of New Year greetings to his constituents. But someone forgot to proof the ad (hum..sounds familiar). The substitution of an “h” for an “e” made for a humorous moment of Dogberryism.
Let Them Eat Cake

(That “she didn’t, but if she did” construction is called pleading in the alternative for you fans of arcane legal practices.) But I digress.
