These Letters to the Editor appeared in the Spring 2008 issue of Texoma Living!.
I’ve got a bone to pick with you. For all these years, I thought the ventriloquists were really singing and drinking water at the same time. Now I find out they use a trick glass! I will forgive you if you will invite my wife and me to the next big party you throw. We loved the piece on New Year’s Eve.

Editor: If you promise to bring a swell hospitality gift we’ll be happy to add your name to the next guest list.
My mother sent me your magazine. It took me three weeks to finally pick it up and read it—cover to cover! I’m 30 years old and a clothing designer at American Eagle Outfitters and every story I read was fascinating.
My parents moved there last year from California and I’m planning a visit this summer. I don’t know what I was expecting, but I’m pleasantly surprised.

Editor: What part surprised you most? That we have a lot of interesting people who live here, or that we could read and write?
My wife and I are recent additions to this area, having moved to Lake Texoma just before Christmas. I picked up a copy of Texoma Living! at a friend’s house and couldn’t put it down. Frankly, we never expected a magazine of this sophistication in our new hometown.
I am an avid reader, so the article on local independent bookstores sent me off on the hunt. From front cover to back cover, the magazine is a wonderful asset for the community.
