Dear Editor,
It is wildlife lovers like Steve Armstrong, (Birds of Prey, July/August Issue) who are the most ardent protectors of wild species. My neighbor mentioned the article to me as if Armstrong was doing something wrong. Just the contrary, he and others who follow the laws and nurture the environment for nature’s good use, are to be commended.

Editor: Armstrong’s work with Harris’ hawks clearly shows a love and respect for these beautiful and regal birds of prey. Locally, the Hagerman Wildlife Refuge is a good place to find out more about the indigenous birds.
